Camping on over 100 acres of countryside in Center Ridge, Arkansas
Find out moreGrandview Camping Solar Event offered camping on a farm of more than 100 acres of countryside at Center Ridge, Arkansas, for the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024.
The farm was quiet and free of streetlights, with wide open fields for watching the eclipse and for stargazing at night. The site was scheduled to have 4 minutes and 15 seconds of totality.
There were several primitive tent or car camping sites, primitive RV sites and day-only parking passes, plus two campers set up with all the linens and kitchen supplies a stay needed. Fire rings were set up for campfires.
Parking passes covered a single day, from 7am to 7pm, with no overnight stays. Anyone who wanted to stay the night booked a tent, car or RV site instead.

Also in Conway County, the park sits on top of Petit Jean Mountain beside the Arkansas River, where Cedar Creek drops 95 feet into a canyon at Cedar Falls.
